This app has been extremely useful in moving MKV files into iTunes. The only problem I have with it is that it has taken ownership of number of file types, forcing me to go in and change them back to my prefered defaults.

I love iVI and it excels on the job of converting videos on iTunes friendly format. It has simplified a ton the workflow to get videos on my library, and to tell you thr truth the automation process gets you lazy. :) Only feature I miss is that it will not pull subtitles from the net, nor let me use a script to do it before converting the video. Thank you Southpole Software for the amazing product.

iVI is an awesome tool for automating converting videos and adding the proper meta data. If youre the type of person who appreciates a well-organized media collection, youll quickly find out how much better things look on your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV when browsing through your library of videos.

It seems slower than other converters but has been flawless in it’s quality on a number of different settings.

I use this on two computers. Each one, I open this app, drag a file into it for meta-data and nothing happens. I’ve let it search for hours. NOTHiNG. Quit the app, reopen - drag the same file(s) searches and finds immediately. But on two computers, I must open, drag files - nothing. Quit, re-open and it works. This has been for over a year.. But with this update I was hoping it was fixed - it is not - same thing. I have written their support using their webiste two times - NEVER have they responded. The app works, just for me I have to open, drag, Quit, reopen and it usually works. SOMETIMES I have to Quit it a few times before it works. But it eventually does work. Just don’t expect developer support.

So I have used several other conversion apps and this one has been the best so far. I really like the ability to batch convert. I do with it was a little faster however the ability to auto convert and post to iTunes with all the information is fantastic. Great app

I have had little experience with .mts files, but that’s the native format of a new portable camera I bought for hiking. This app did what it says. Simple drag and drop interface, quick conversation, quick import into iMovie (again dragging and dropping). Video and audio quality excellent, especially considering that it was converted. Good purchase at good price.

I have been ripping and converting all of my media library and importing it onto my NAS so everyone in my family can access it, but have continually run into the problem (the OCD in me) that I want all of the metadata attached to it with and the artwork. I also had gotten so tired of importing everything into iTunes and having it sort all of my files into Home Movies, so I would have to meticulously add in all of the info to the file so it would organize it properly. With iVI I just drag and drop and let it convert the file, 2 minutes later it is good to go and being able to batch convert and tell iVI where to save the file is such a time saver. Wish I could give it 6 stars, the best $3.99 I have spent in a while!

First of all thank you for the good app! But it has the most annoying unacceptable bug-I can’t save my preferences! Everytime i restart the app i need to start over with settings(format, quality, folders, etc…) I’m on 10.9.4. Hope you can fix it. Thank you!

This App is very good to update existing files with meta-data, but to converter video is not good, you can’t converter to 1080p, if you try to add subtitle, work only with srt, you can’t add audio files.

The predefined settings iVI provides for different output sources is a great help plus the conversion times are lightning fast compared to other tools. Thanks!!!

Overall it is a good app, but there are still a few bugs in the program. It has shut down on me before it fully converted a video several times, however as soon as I reopened the app, it would start up again, so it is just a minor inconvenience. Still, I hope for an update soon.

this app is simply great easy to use

Converts mp4 files that are 720 in less then 30 seconds. The same files that are 1080p and slightly larger take 3 to 4 hours.

Have tried several times to aquire support, they reply on the 1st request and they ask you questions about your issue, and then no follow up, nor response to further replies. If you wait for a few weeks and attempt to get support for your issue, they just contiue the same cycle and you achieve no solutions.

Ive tried many different methods to get media into my iTunes library to enjoy on my iPad and Apple TV, and iVI is by far the best solution Ive found. Conversions are fast (even on my vintage Mac Mini) video quality is excellent, and the metadata is first rate. One problem. Box art doesn’t always show up on iOS 8. It may be a problem with the aspect ratio, but it’s somehting the IVI team needs to address; the formerly slick product looks very amateurish with this flaw.

I don’t do a lot of reviews, but this one warrants it!! I use this app almost everyday to help organize my videos. It works it’s magic very quickly and efficiently!!! LOVE THIS APP!!!
